Shock spring tool needed

Post  Ballistic on Mon Mar 18, 2013 10:42 pm

Hi guyz and galz...does anyone have a shock spring compress tool I can borrow for couple of weeks?
I am finally up to fixing my hog and need to take the shocks apart.

Cheers.

Thanks for that. That is OK for taking the shock apart. But I'll have to think of something for putting it back together as I want to powder coat the springs and flat tyre iron would scratch them.
But it's an idea What a Face
Cheers.

Der! How about wrapping a bit of rag around the iron, thats what I do after getting the spring
re-chromed.

But don't forget to put a bit of rubber (pushbike innertube) between the rag & the spring or it'll slip off Wink
