Shock spring tool needed
Hi guyz and galz...does anyone have a shock spring compress tool I can borrow for couple of weeks?
I am finally up to fixing my hog and need to take the shocks apart.
Cheers.

You can hire clamps from tool shops for a couple of quid.

Thanks for that. That is OK for taking the shock apart. But I'll have to think of something for putting it back together as I want to powder coat the springs and flat tyre iron would scratch them.
But it's an idea
Cheers.

Der! How about wrapping a bit of rag around the iron, thats what I do after getting the spring
re-chromed.
But don't forget to put a bit of rubber (pushbike innertube) between the rag & the spring or it'll slip off
